For this parody assignment, I was inspired by real life experiences, though extremely loosely, of course. Sometimes people will put in so much effort into attempting to “befriend” people who very clearly do not want to be friends with them. I find this very absurd, so I centered my lyrics around the perspective of the person pursued in this one sided dynamic. The song is a good parody because it makes light of a situation and does not take itself too seriously. At times, laughter can be heard.
What I am most proud of with this project are the lyrics. I did not just write a chorus, but the entire song. I am also proud of all the parts in the Pro Tools editing.
Audio editing is a bit trickier than other editing I have done in the past. For my experimental film from earlier this year, I did some extremely basic audio editing when I combined multiple pieces of royalty free music together to create a more interesting feel. Mixing audio and editing audio is a bit different, as it incorporates more things, such as volume, reverb, etc.
